Jaime was born in Valladolid, Spain, where he conducted his BSc and MSc studies in chemistry. He then carried out his PhD studies at Universidad de Valladolid under the supervision of Prof. Pablo Espinet, where he explored the applications of fluorinated phosphine ligands and their transition metal complexes in catalysis and materials science. Jaime joined the Schoenebeck group as a postdoctoral researcher in May 2023.
