Mathilde was born and raised in a small city in the middle of France, Domérat. She received her B.Sc. (2015) and M. Sc. (2017) degrees in Chemistry from the ENS de Lyon. In 2017, she moved to Toulouse to start her PhD studies at the Laboratoire Hétérochimie Fondamentale et Appliquée (LHFA) under the supervision of Dr. Didier Bourissou and Dr. Karinne Miqueu. Her PhD was focused on gold chemistry, from the stabilization of reactive species to catalysis, combining computational and experimental approaches. In 2022, she joined the Schoenebeck group as a postdoctoral researcher.
